COVID-19
Your overall health and wellness will always be our highest priority. As information about the Coronavirus and public health guidance has emerged, we have committed to obtaining necessary equipment and training so that you can have confidence in receiving dental care safely,
Since the Safer at Home Order was issued by Gov. Evers in March, we have been seeing patients in our office for emergency care only. The American Dental Association, in cooperation with the CDC, has provided guidelines and a roadmap to reopen our office slowly and safely. With training and strict adherence to CDC standards, we are ready to begin seeing patients in our office expanded services beginning Monday, May 18th.
From May 18th through the 29th we will begin phasing in "Urgent" care for those procedures that are that are pressing, but don’t fit the definition of a dental emergency. An example would be removal of a temporary crown and insertion of the final restoration. Significant workflow changes will be in place to limit the potential for virus transmission. Limited hygiene services will be available also.
On June 1st and beyond, normal elective dental care, utilizing new enhanced infection control practices will be in place.
When you return to our new office location you will notice some changes in procedures that involve extra precautions to protect the health of you, your family and our staff:
- COVID-19 symptom screening and temperature monitoring of all patients prior to their appointment.
- Extensive use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Masks will be worn by all staff all the time.
- Expanded hours to limit the number of patients and employees per day (respect social distancing).
- Hospital-grade Air Purifiers in each treatment room.
- Over-the-patient ADS High Vacuum Evacuation Systems to limit aerosols generated by dental procedures.
- In the mouth isolation and suction devices IsoDry and Purevac HVE systems.
We will be calling patients to reschedule all cancelled appointments. We truly appreciate your understanding through this. Please don't hesitate to call us with any questions.
Sincerely,
Dr. Chris Hansen & Dr. Jamie Meunier
Rich Wilde owner of Preferred Dental Services delivered our dental aerosol vacuum extractors. These machines will be used to remove aerosols from the operatories.
Our staff will always wear a mask.
Jason Bratzke our Vatech sales representative trained our staff on our
brand new CBCT scanner.
Beth Currie our Hu-Friedy sales representative brought our staff up to date on all new techniques involving sterilization.
